In 2009, I had the privilege to travel to Little Rock, Arkansas to visit Fellowship Bible Church. This is the home church of Robert Lewis, the man who created Men’s Fraternity. They had a fantastic production which included a countdown display leading up to their Men’s Frat sessions. I thought that was pretty cool, so I generated one myself.
Initially, I could not distribute the software because I had copyrighted music in it. When I finally got around to finding some replacements (which are not nearly as good as the original), I found a couple of technical difficulties.
Countdown has been used to manage conference, technical NATO working group meetings, and even training classes.
Developing this tool was a lot of fun and I am so pleased to provide it free for all to use!
Install Notes: If you are installing in Windows Vista or 7, be sure to install it into a folder that you typically have write permissions for (e.g. C:\Users\username\Desktop\Countdown). Otherwise, you will have to give it administrator privileges to run it.
