The moon is absolutely gorgeous tonight.  Perhaps it’s the cool, crisp air that makes it look so clear – accentuated by a few scattered clouds that give it the illusion of being a spotlight pointing to another place on the planet.

A spotlight.  Interesting.  In fact, nothing could be further from the truth, right?  The moon does not create its own light…it just reflects the sun’s light.

Looking at the moon tonight, I realized that I suddenly had amazing awareness of where the sun is.  Based on the curvature of the light on the moon, the shape of the moon slice, all of those factors – I just knew.

I realize this is nothing new, but tonight I felt something.  Almost like a very thin connection to something so much bigger…understanding. I felt both huge and incredibly small at the same time.
